Gamecock Media Group has launched the official website for its upcoming First Person Shooter (FPS) title, Section 8, due out on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in 2009.
Currently, the website offers fans the opportunity to view a detailed description on the game, behind-the-scenes footage, as well as the chance to sign up for a newsletter, a community message board and download various Section 8-themed wallpapers.
Developed by TimeGate Studios, Section 8 presents itself as a futuristic FPS, and takes its name from a now defunct United States military discharge regulation for those deemed mentally unfit for service. The game will utilize Epic’s prestigious Unreal Engine 3, and allows players to “dynamically alter the flow of combat as they see fit, employing tactical assets and on-demand vehicle deliveries.”
The game is currently scheduled for release some time in the first quarter of 2009. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

Unimpessed. Why is it named after a low income housing program?
theres one thing i dont like about the game and that is the fact that its using the Unreal engine... that engine is pissing me off, but ill probally buy the game as long as they dont totally mess up our version.... like The Orange Box....
Down with It.........
Sounds like a spin off of Mercenaries.
Should have been called Sector 8. Doesn't sound like a clause in a law.
I like the screenshots of this game and it definantly looks different from anything else that has been released and that is important to me.
I'm worried that the developers will have problems with the PS3 version like so many other 3rd party developers. I haven't heard of this game studio before and they are probably new to the PS3... I'm almost certain that they will run into issues with development. Hopefully this game will be worth it.
Don't really care that much,@chilledbreeze7
lmao, the website word filter doesn't even let u type c*ck!
Looking good there! Might be interesting.
