Gran Turismo 5 is already far into development where it is scheduled to be released exclusively on the PlayStation 3 console. The PSP on the other hand has been sought after as a potential platform to release another Gran Turismo IP on. However, talks on such a title amounted to very little, and, while it appears the game is still on track, gamers may have to wait until 2009 for it to see the light of day.
Speaking to Spanish website Meristation, Gran Turismo Creator Kazunori Yamauchi revealed that a PSP Gran Turismo title is something that is already under development, but it will not hit the market until GT5 has released.
To put things into perspective, GT5 is expected to release in Christmas 2008, making it highly likely that a GT on PSP won’t hit the shops until summer/fall 2009; 5 years after the release for the Sony portable gaming device.
Details regarding the portable Gran Turismo are largely unknown at this point. So it might seem like we will have to wait til this time next year for concrete news on the title. Look at the bright side though; around this time next year you will probably be playing your new shiny GT5 anyways! There is always a trade-off.

GT5...Christmas 08?! Holy Cr@p...we have to wait that long?!
I didn't know this game was still being developed.
It better be good. Reminds me of how long we had to wait between 2 and 3 and 4. I don't see why the PSP version should be so hard though... couldn't they just tweek GT4 and add some stuff?
I can understand trying to make a game "perfect", but there is not such a thing.
I don't remember well, but wasn't GT for PSP going to be release near the first PSP release? Thats why I had to learn not to trust the "comming soon" titles. Everything is delays delays delays..
Hey managers / directors you get pay to manage and keep in track deadlines. Is not your workers who need to achieve your desires! Make realistic schedules and control your scope!
psn id: gingo... it wil be worth the wait but it is far too long to even think about a portable gran turismo as this point
Hmm the timeline between each gane is exeptionally long, I guess for the PSP its no different. :(
I had a feeling this would happen!!! GT R LONG AT DOING EVERYTHING!!!
to long to wait, ill put this on the backburner.
