Lair and Folklore take top spots on Amazon UK

Posted on August 26th, 2007 at 23:39 EDT

Lair and Folklore are selling like hotcakes over at Amazon UK, taking the number one and two spots respectively on the Amazon UK Video Game charts. They are each discounted to an insanely low £14.95 as part of some fantastic promotion. You can pick them both up for cheaper than another new single PS3 title. We have no idea when these prices will rise again - if at all - but there's frankly no excuses not to pre-order these two promising titles immediately if you live in the United Kingdom.

Fly the skies and participate in epic battles by dragonback with a revolutionary motion control scheme in Lair. Travel the Netherworld and discover the mystery as Ellen and Keats in the enchanting Folklore.

Folklore is released in the UK on October 12th, followed by Lair on the 19th.

Next: Blu-ray Warhawk requires 800 MB of HDD space

Warhawk is approaching quite fast, due to release at 12:01 EST on PSN this coming Tuesday. Gamers will also have the option of picking up a hard copy, or rather a Blu-ray...

I downloaded the japanese version of the lair demo (He means folklore :) - Eric2929) before a liked it, then on a whim I downloaded the new english language version and it's even better, lots more combat in the new demos, I'm definatly getting this game. You guys in the UK may not be getting a price drop but you;re definatly getting a deal we probably wont get in the US!

I pre-ordered both. They are really a bargain. Including shipping to the Netherlands I pay 5 Euro's less than I pay for one game here. I really love the folklore demo.

I pre-ordered LAIR from Amazon.co.uk last night. £15 is a bargain! I didnt bother with Folklore, as I will just trade in a couple games for that.

I ordered my copy of LAIR last night, but having played the demo of Folklore, I won't be bothering with that. It's a beautiful game, but quite bizarre - and I don't like RPG's anyway. Not sure if these prices are part of a promotion as suggested here, or just the result of an error. A few years back, HMV made a mistake with the price of PES. They did honour the price, but restricted it to one copy per person. I've a feeling this is a similar mistake, and it remains to be seen if Amazon actually honour the price when the game is released.

Too bad they don't post what the actual NUMBERS are.  Still, good news.  I think Lair especially still looks like a fun game, despite some of the reviews.  Sales will tell the story, in the end.

Thats a crazy deal. Need to move to the UK for a day or something. 14.95 for a game is fricken awesome. Both games are worth it. Folklore demo was great.
