Sony PSP Media Manager now free to download

For those looking to find an easy way to transfer their media files from their PCs to their PSP, Sony has announced it is now offering the PSP Media Manager Software tool available as a free download.

Just in time for the holidays Sony has made this great piece of software available for free from their Japanese PlayStation site. Although the announcement and release was made for the Japanese market, if you can get through the installation process, the software allows you to install the program in English language making it run seamlessly on your home PC.

The PSP Media Manager software includes such features as:

* Simple drag-and-drop tools that let you preview photos, videos, and music on your PC -- simply drag them to the My PSP pane
* Turn photos into thumbnails, or rotate them before transferring -- supports all popular image formats including. jpg,. bmp,. gif,. png, and. tif
* Transfer and manage all popular audio file types -. mp3,. wav,. wma,. ogg, and. m4a
* CD extraction lets you transfer your CDs to your PSP system
* Enjoy. mp4,. avi,. mpg,. mov,. wmv, and other popular video formats - or convert them to high-quality Sony AVC/AAC video for optimized viewing

i really cant care less ,am using mac and i aint willing to change to windows just for this just, use ur psp as mass storage and drop things in it. and if u want to fill it with movies just use handbrake or really try something called *the internet* wink wink

I thought that was always free. I downloaded something similar off the PSP website and transfered some themes to my PSP. Maybe it was something diffrent. I did it like 3 weeks ago.

One of the features it states Enjoy mp4,. avi,. mpg,. mov,. wmv. I was unaware that the PSP can play more video files? can it play divX yet?

FOLLOWED THE LINK AND THE SITE IS ALL IN JAPANESE OR SOME THING, WILL THE SOFT WARE ALSO BE IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE, MY JAPANESE IS A LITTLE RUSTY CONSIDERING I DONT SPEAK IT !? (not for me anyway, but my bruv has a psp).

yes! i cant believe it, i just downloaded and installed hte program. beauty. This week has been the best week for firmware updates and media accross the psp and ps3. Sony is doing an awesome job.

isn't it weird that you can't access that link when your actually manuvering through the real japan playstation site? and wouldn't you be able to get through to the other parts of the site from there? just my thoughts...
