Infinity Ward has issued an update regarding the release of their upcoming patch for the PlayStation 3 version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
Although consumers who own the Xbox 360 version of the critically acclaimed shooter received their patch last week, PS3 gamers have been somewhat left in the dark in regards to when they will receive their own version of the patch.
However, writing on the company’s official bog, Infinity Ward issued the following statement:
"The PS3 feature patch is currently at certification at Sony and has been for about a week now. It’s going through it’s necessary channels worldwide for each respective region. We haven’t heard any problems back so that’s a great sign. We haven’t received any eta from Sony (which is typical for these types of things) but if I hear any indication of when you might be able to expect it I’ll pass it along."

details of the patch were released on this site ages ago and to be honest it aint that great. What i would really like to hear is when we are getting some better maps, preferably for free as i feel the game was both short on multiplayer maps and single player campaign

totally agree........ y cant they just realease new maps? What do they have to hide???
i hope that we get this soon. I am not really that "into" COD4 which I know sounds crazy but its just not my type of game. If its that small, map and player wise, I want it to be more like the good ol' socom that I used to play for 5-7 hours every day with friends. COD4 is too much run and gun and not enough stealth and tactics. In socom you could kill someone and they did not know where you are but the stupid kill cam on COD4 ruins any chances of finding a good sniping spot

I think its kinda BS crashbox got theirs first, but oh well. I just hope we get ours soon. Army of Two just came out, so me and a buddy of mine are going to start playing that. Hopefully by the time we finish the patch will be out.
